Drum roll please....Ta Dah!!!!!

It is finished, it is finally complete!
Of course I still need to weave in the ends & clean up the back.
I am so thrilled how it turned out!
160 lovely granny squares all together at last!

Motherhood quote of the day:

Well, I barely made it today, it's 11:20pm so it still counts for today.

Not quite "Ta dah"...

Everything is together. Lots & lots of ends to weave in, I will definitely learn how to attach as I go along for next time.
It also needs a border, but that shouldn't take too long.

Motherhood quote of the day:

(From a prayer for her daughter): “…And should she choose to be a mother one day, be my eyes, Lord, that I may see her, lying on a blanket on the floor at 4:50 A.M., all-at-once exhausted, bored, and in love with the little creature whose poop is leaking up its back.”
~ Tina Fey (from “Bossypants“)

Almost out of white yarn...

The rest of the multi, then yellow & then pink. A grand total of 160 granny squares! I do love to crochet!

Our lives were saved...

It happened one very hot summer evening...

Our BEAST of a furnace & A/C decided to quit.

So, after some phone calls & quite a bit of sweat...
These two men saved our lives in one day.
*I would also like to thank my parents for helping us out in our time of need xoxo*

Piece by piece out went the old...

And then in with the new...

I know you love the wallpaper!

Cool Air! Finally!!
This is a job well done by our local guys at New Albany Heating & Air Conditioning!

Good morning "Granny"...

23 more granny squares to make, all because of a color change.
But I have my coffee to get me going.

Connection has been made...

The middle of my blanket has been connected together...still a long way to go, but so cool to have some of it in front of me...no longer just a bunch of squares.

Pounds, pounds, go away...

I want to know why on earth it is so hard to lose weight. I know some people like to work out & it's so easy for them, but I also know I am not the only one that struggles with this.  I get so upset with myself, not making any time to exercise. I get upset, because I know it is the only way to lose all these pounds. So on that note, I suppose I should stop typing & do something about it.
**Leon, where are you when I need a fun little wager?**

Got a little help today.

Ruby is helping with the crochet today.

Floor Time!

Here they are again....Charlie, Stella & Ruby!
They were having a good time on the floor :D

Ruby even made friends with the gnome...
they had a very deep conversation!

He's Alive!!

Meet Elmer! He is my favorite fun creation I have made so far. You can find his pattern at Redheart.com. Again, I am still practicing the art of crochet amigurumi. I definitely need help attaching the limbs cleanly. But he is still pretty cute I think.

Crochet creatures!

Here are my first crochet creatures, thanks to Wayuki@Craftster.org for posting the patterns. I am just learning, so I know I did not do them justice...but I will keep practicing.
