Ruby's Slippers

I just tried my hand at crocheting some baby booties/slippers. In fact I made some ruby slippers for Ruby!!
I still need to attach the straps & I am gonna put a few decorative buttons on there too.
(I used a pattern from e-PatternsCentral.com, designed by Carolyn Christmas, "Mary Janes". Thank you so much for making it available!)

Halloween at the Zoo!

Got to go to the Zoo with the kiddos for a little early Halloween party! It was fun, but it definitely was a "zoo" there!

Quote of The Day:

Okay, Okay....I just forget that the computer is over here! Nap time these days consists of laundry & a bit of crocheting :) Actually the last couple of days Ruby has had a hard time taking a nap, so almost zero quiet time until bedtime for me.

There Just Isn't Enough Time....

I can't believe that I haven't posted something in over two months. I hurt my foot & then school started for Charlie & then it was just one thing after another, after another! Whewwwwww!!! I am worn out thinking about it.
Anyhow, not too much has changed here at the Keasler house. I am still crocheting like a crazy woman! But unfortunately I can't post some of my projects here, because they are gonna be Christmas presents. I will definitely try & get my Granny Square a day going again & my quote of the day! Sometimes my quotes help me out too!
Little Ruby turned one a couple a weeks ago & I am a little sad about that :( No more baby stuff...it's all toddler stuff now. She is cruising around the furniture & eating big girl food & we just got the okay to switch her to cow's milk. Crazy times!

My little boy is a little man

Off to Kindergarten he went this morning. I got tearful for just a second, but no major waterworks! I am still in shock that he is five. They just grow up way too fast.

Needing to catch up

Well, I am slowly getting back into the swing of things here at home. Even being injured, I have begun the process of getting it together.
Charlie is going off to kindergarten tomorrow morning. I am kinda sad. I just can't believe he is going to "big boy school".
I have been crocheting, but I haven't taken any pictures to post. I have gotten involved in a new project & have temporarily abandoned the Granny Square a day project. I will get back to that soon too.

Our last day!

Here we are on our last day. I think everyone is ready to get home. It has been fun, but it is just time to be on our way.

We survived!

It has been a couple of days, but just wanted everyone to know we were all doing okay!
The ride went smooth & pretty quick considering we stopped a few times.
It is hot here, just like at home...with no rain.
I have been crocheting a little less than usual, but I still have managed to work up a few things.

My deepest apologies ;)

I was so politely informed by my mother that I was not living up to the title of my blog.  I have fallen addicted to crochet & that is all I have posted recently.  She loyally checks everyday & I know she is looking for pictures of her grandkids.  Sorry, mom...here are some new ones to chew on for awhile :)

We tried, that is Stella's head, bottom right corner :)

Mix Match Monday

Stella decided to mix it up a little bit today. Usually she is really good at picking out her clothes? Not sure what happened today?

Motherhood quote of the day:

Well, I barely made it today, it's 11:20pm so it still counts for today.

Motherhood quote of the day:

(From a prayer for her daughter): “…And should she choose to be a mother one day, be my eyes, Lord, that I may see her, lying on a blanket on the floor at 4:50 A.M., all-at-once exhausted, bored, and in love with the little creature whose poop is leaking up its back.”
~ Tina Fey (from “Bossypants“)

Almost there!

Well, just twelve more teal squares & then a few borders & I will be on my way to completing my afghan!!! I am pleased with the turn out, even with a couple of unexpected changes.
Of course the kiddos wanted to help out...
 Ruby too!
